I found this ‘Pacheco’ at the last recordfair in Utrecht, april this year.
It is a Fania production from Probably 1972. Released in Venezuela
by ‘el Palacio de la Música’. The only information available is as
follows; singers are ‘Pete ‘Conde’ Rodriguez’, ‘Pacheco’ and ‘Alberto
Valdez’. Directed by ‘Johnny Pacheco’ and
produced by ‘Jerry Masucci’.tracks;

A quite special post today, this is Laba Sosseh, I don’t know where
he’s from but he’s ever so welcome. If I see a SAR production from
1981, produced by Roberto Torres, I trust it fully. This is a recording
very different from most SAR LP’s. In a very rhythmic flow the SAR
musicians combine African tunes with Latin ones. Laba Sosseh’s
voice rounds it all up nicely. I hope you enjoy.tracks;
1 Ngombelle
2 Gualli sengue
3 Maracaibo oriental
4 Botom belle
5 Anichayi
6 PelotaPosted by Moosat 6:52 AMCategories

If I am correct, this must be the first volume of ‘Brasil…sambe ou se
mande’, so it should be from around 1973, since the others are. I was
so lucky to find 3 of them on my last Brazilian recordhunt. Pedrinho
Rodrigues e os Nacionais bring some wellknown samba songs, in an
uncomplicated way, enjoy ! Voltamos hoje com um pouquinho de
Samba gostoso, espero que vocês gostam.tracks;

This here LP is a real treasure, I played it over and over, and over
again. From ’73 this Johnny Pacheco with singer Pete ‘El Conde’
Rodriguez, a Fania beauty. It’s a shame that no musicians are credited
here, ‘Tres de Cafe, Dos de Azucar, Ponle Punto’. Produced by
‘Jerry Masucci’ and ‘Johnny Pacheco’. Fantastic background
vocals, great rhythms, ” Azucar !”tracks;
1 Primoroso cantar
2 Cositas buenas

What we have here is a very special post. Requested by Justin
Thyme, this is ‘Hugh Mundell’. Hugh was murdered at 21 years
old, sitting in a car with ‘Junior Reid’, another great talent. His
album ‘ Africa must be free by 1983’ was a tremendous hit, the
cruel thing is that this was the year, he got shot. From 1983 this
is ‘Blackman’s Foundation’, a 4 star rated album by ‘All Music
Guide’, being one of Hugh’s latest recordings. As I was told by
the salesman who sold it to me, his latest was this rare 12″ single,
‘ Hey Good Looking’, that I added as Bonustrack.
Hope you enjoy this,tracks;
