groten in het veld .. down, deel en luister ..Well, these are the type of requests that make me happy.
José asked me to post some more of artists like Andrés
Landero, Juancho PoloValencia or/and Alejo Durán. With
Andrés Landero I have not much left but the other two,
no problem. Let’s start with another record by Juancho
Polo Valencia. This one is from 1974 and contains some
songs we didn’t have yet. Delightful vallenato by one
of the masters in the field.

For the lovers of Congolese music we’ve got another
record with Bumba Massa today. We had two albums
earlier, on one he was called Sammy instead of Bumba.
Bumba Massa used to work with the greatest of artists.
Names like Empompo Loway, Bavon Marie Marie, Johnny
Bokelo, Vicky Longomba, Franco Luambo, Pablo Lubudika
and Syran Mbenza are a few that make huge impression.
On this 1988 album, Bumba Massa appears with Lokassa
Ya Mbongo and Dally Kimoko among others. Although
mainly key-based (I am more fond of guitars myself)
Bumba Massa’s sweet voice make this a nice record ..Voor de liefhebbers van Congolese muziek hebben we
nog een plaat met Bumba Massa vandaag. Eerder zagen
Bumba ‘Sammy’ genoemd. Bumba Massa werkte met de
meest indrukwekkende atiesten in zijn leven. Namen als
Empompo Loway, Bavon Marie Marie, Johnny Bokelo,
mooie stem veel goed ..with Les Redoutables 1985

Good morning groovers, yesterday a certain commenter
told me to stop posting music from cd and go back to
bringing stuff from rare old elpees. Okay, no problem
if you wish to criticize my work. However, if you do this
anonymous, I shall not publish it. Let’s
see, what do we have today ..If you want something rare, this is rare.
I can’t seem to find them anywhere on the web.Over the years we saw several albums with Los Corraleros
de Majagual. They were very famous. Today we find this
record with Los Carraleros de Bogotá. Some of the songs
were written by Efrain González of whom we found some
records before. Other songs were written by Julio Sanjuan
and José Barros. We have an elpee with Pedro Quinto
which also contains songs written by these three. I’m
not sure if any of them took part of Los Corraleros
de Bogotá. If anybody does, please share
your knowledge ..Efrain González y sus Muchachos, Parranda Costeña

On Harlequin we find this lovely cd with the music of Filiberto
Rico and his group Rico’s Creole Band. He was a Cuban clarinet
player and one of the first to bring Cuban music to Europe.
Read more in this Bio.Blessed in Havana, Cuba, in 1910, Filiberto Rico was one of
the primary wave of music artists to popularize Latin American
music throughout north European countries. An alto saxophonist
who doubled on flute, youthful Rico gigged and documented with
several rings in Paris and Copenhagen through the past due ’20s,
especially Moises Simon’s Orquesta Tipica Cubana. Rico’s Creole
Music group was produced in 1930 and interested the Parisian
open public using the conga, the beguine, as well as the bolero
until a proliferation of Nazis (equipped with a racist Weltan-
schauung that criminalized the cultural variety embodied in
the word “Creole”) managed to get essential for this Afro-Cuban
musician to absent himself from the spot through the years
1941-1946. Rico’s postwar reputation in Paris and along the
France Riviera is renowned, and continues to be related to the
mixing of Western european and Latin American designs. His early
recordings had been reissued in two amounts on compact disk with
the Harlequin label in 1993-1994, and his postwar profession is
documented on the retrospective two-fer released in 2003 by
Fremeaux & Associes. ( MusicianBio)01 – Viva la conga

From Macondo, the capital of Vallenato, we’ve got this
slice of vinyl with Rafael Mendoza y su Conjunto. Rafael
is accompanied by acordeonist Norberto Ramirez and
the rhythms of Costa Antillana. We found the title song
on a collector I posted in june 2018. Today the full record.
We’ll have to accept a little background noise ..Uit de hoofdstad van de vallenato, Macondo, vandaag deze
prettige plaat met Rafael Mendoza y su Conjunto. Rafael

plaats in onze download Top 20.
master of the son montuno, left us already in 1970, (almost
50 years ago) his music remains fascinating. On today’s
album we find some songs that have been here on earlier
occasions but also a couple unknown ones. Below this
article you can see how the great Arsenio was driven
from his number one position in our download Top 20,
I’m sure however he will remain in number

Loop er nog eens langs ..Every once in so much time people request to see the list of
Global Groove’s most downloaded records. Well here they are
once again. You will understand the list changes every once in a
while, however, Ayinla Omowura sits on the throne so firmly, it
is not likely he’ll fall off soon. Another sheer winner is Arsenio
Rodriguez’ Primitivo although he went from the number One to

Another delightful album with Gentleman Mike Ejeagha.
The man under who’s guidance a great artist like Celestine Ukwu
started his career. Mike’s music is very relaxed, his
Igbo lyrics concern stories about daily matters. He is told

Archives of Nigeria. Get it & spread it ..Ugo Mma 1982
