Somehow they tend to present themselves as some sort
of home made priests. Most juju masters like to bring
a message to the world. I am kind of allergic to it so, as
long as I don’t find any titles with the lord in it, I’m happy
and prepared to share the stuff. Juju is such nice music to
listen to. Of course I am kind of hypocrite because in reggae
for instance I do except it. One way or the other, Chief Com-
mander Ebenezer Obey is one of my favourite juju masters,
that’s why this is album number sixteen by his hand on
this page, get it and spread it like usual..

Op de een of andere manier zijn Juju artiesten vaak een
soort zelfbenoemde priesters. Altijd wel een boodschap
voor de wereld in hun platen. Ik ben er allergisch voor
maar vind de juju sound wel heel erg fijn. Dus zolang ik
maar geen titels met je zus erin tegenkom ben ik happy
en bereid zo’n plaatje te plaatsen. De Chief Commander

He recorded more than 32 records, was crowned King Vallenato
in 1975 and was member of the famous ‘Corraleros de majagual’.
Julio de la Ossa deserves his place between the Vallenato greats.
Today we have his album ‘el Preso Distinguido’ from 1969. Born
in july 1937 and died in september 1998..

Some Mysterious visitor sent me this copy of Karibu by le Prince Youlou
Mabiala & Kamikaze Loningisa. The file looks slightly different than you
are used to, only 192 kbit but it sounds just fine. We’re happy with this
gift, thank you unknown, also on behalf of our visitors..

Een mysterieuze bezoeker stuurde me deze van le Prince Youlou Mabiala
& Kamikaze Loningisa. De file ziet er niet exact zo uit als je hier gewend bent
maar we zijn toch blij met de plaat. Slechts 192 kbit maar hij klinkt prima.

The brothers Mario and Ignacio Hernández take care of the
vocal parts but Mario is the one making the sound in this
group. His skills on the tres are magnificent. Listen to Sexteto
Borinquen from 1974 and original from Puerto Rico but released
on the Ansonia label from New york. In general I am no lover of
bolero but the way these guys play it, sweet stuff..

Dit zijn de jongens van Sexteto Borinquen, Mario Hernández
en zijn broer Ignacio doen de vokalen. De magnifieke skills
van Mario en zijn tres maken de sound naar mijn mening.
Uit 1974 en origineel uit Puerto Rico maar uitgebracht op
Ansonia uit New York. Over het algemeen ben ik geen
liefhebber van bolero maar zo als deze jongens het
spelen, heerlijk hoor..

Its sleeve is somewhat worn out by time and such, the disc
however is in fine condition. La Niña Esquiva is a song covered
by many and this album’s title song. Luis Enrique Martinez was
crowned Rey Vallenato on the prestigeous Festival de la Leyenda
Vallenata in 1973. The rhythms on this record are enormous
tight and sweet, better don’t hesitate and get it now..

De hoes is enigszins aangetast door de tand des tijds, de plaat
zelf daarentegen is in prima staat. La Niña Esquiva is een nummer
door velen gecovered en de titelsong van deze elpee. Luis Enrique
Martinez was winnaar van het prestigieuze Festival de la leyenda
Vallenata 1973. De ritmes op deze plaat zijn buitengewoon strak
en lekker. Ik zou hem niet negeren en snel binnenhalen..

a few days back I’ve been complaining about the fact

his African Sound Makers, it is on Decca and from 1977. As we
stride forth and keep making discoveries, this one is for you
Cole. Feel free to use it, sharing these rare albums is the
best we can do to unite people all over this globe..
