Presented by the great Luambu Makiadi Franco, this is Kiesse Diambu.
We had not seen him before here at the Global Groove but we’re as
happy as possible to have him. ( After your refreshing comments I rewrote
this, we hear Empire Bakuba and not OK Jazz. ) I love the sound on this album.
Their wonderful voices, the astonishing rhythms, a real gem. Get it and
spread it the way you’re used to. Enjoy Kiesse Diambu..tracks;
01 – Pesa ngai luzitu
02 – Silefe
03 – Celibataire
04 – EpitaphePosted by Moosat 10:57 AMCategories

Hello groovers, today’s contribution concerns an album
by an artist we can’t get enough of. Until I found this lp

This album contains 10 songs with African Fiesta from
1962 and 1963. The internet states the group only started
in 1963. We find songs by Depuissant, Dechaud, Izedi, Mujos
and Rochereau. No Dr. Nico songs although he should be the
one on lead guitar. One way or the other, another missing
link in the ‘african 360.000’ series, it’s number 163.
Enjoy listening..tracks;
01 – Ngonga ebeti (Depuissant)

It’s been a crazy week with no chance on a post.
Work has been capturing my time the whole week.
Glad to be able to bring you the next record, Let’s see,I can’t seem to find any information on this group.
One of the ‘african 360.000 series’ albums I failed to
post so far is this one. Los Nickelos appear on this
Merveilles du Passé Congolese lp, 12 very relaxed
songs you will surely like. Names we find at the
backsleeve are Jo Rino, Zatho, Zizi, Macky and
Masta, if you can fill us in here..
get it & spread it…tracks;

Marcus Mvouka is here and he brought Lea Lignanzi, André
Pamomiel, Pablo Lubadika, Domingo Salsero and Manga Jerry
among others. Quite entertaining slice of Congolese I guess
you’re gonna like. It’s on Salsa Musique and from 1982,
get it, spread it and give it a couple of spins..tracks;
01 – Keba na ye
02 – Testament mpo na chantal
03 – Bandjambirika
04 – Nzoto ekali mabelePosted by Moosat 7:58 AM - Saturday September 26, 2015
Some people have the strangest way of thinking the Global
Groove is some kind of jukebox. Sending me personal mail
telling me to post a wishlist of 10 albums in the next few
days, pffff, what do you think this is..? Fortunately most
of our visitors have the decency to wait and see what’s
coming instead of ordering music. Let’s see, do you
remember Eddy Son’s projects ? We had us a bunch
in the past. Tanawa is the singer with Master Mwana
on guitar and organised by Eddy’son Consortium
Mondial. A very solid listen not to miss..tracks;
01 – Nabassani-te
02 – Bouleke
03 – Ozwaka-nini
04 – LibalaPosted by Moosat 8:18 AM - Wednesday September 9, 2015
Lots of dynamics on this one. l’Afrisa has a strong electric
sound on this album, straight from the beginning it is very
full and rich in instrumentation. Strong vocal harmonies,
it does not tell us with who, round up this 1982 record.
Quite poppy but still very Congolese, listen..tracks;
01 – En amour pas de calcul
02 – Mavwela
03 – Lisanga bambanda
04 – Masi mangoPosted by Moosat 9:19 PMCategories

Goodmorning groovers, it’s been some time since we’ve
seen them here. Les Bantous de la Capitale had quite some
albums passing by over the years. The one we have today
is a Congolese pressing on Socodi ( societé Congolaise du
Disque ) which we hadn’t seen so far. It contains some good
songs and some, let’s say, weepies. All together I think it’s
a historic document. With the participation of Nino Malapet,
Jean Serge Essous, Passy Mermans, Pamelo Moun’ka, Edo,
Samba Mascott, Celestin and Pandy, enjoy listening..tracks;
01 – Badetty
02 – Que se rian
03 – Ah, ngai angeline
04 – Malaika
05 – Maria
06 – Masabi
07 – Mibadi bino façon
08 – Ahora morir prefieroPosted by Moosat 8:34 AMCategories

Just being in the good mood by listening to le grand maître.

01 – Na loba loba pampa te
02 – Tolinganaki toboyanaki
