Yesterday we tried to support Ghana with it’s game
against Germany and it seems we booked a tiny succes.
They played 2 – 2 and it was a great match. Last night we
had Nigeria against Bosnia-Herzegovina, I am too late to
give them our support with this lp but they gained their 3
points anyway. Listen to I.K. Dairo’s tribute to the Green
Eagles of Nigeria and enjoy, 1976 juju from the top shelf..tracks;

– Lawrence idonije

He made quite a bunch of swell records, Chief Stephen
Osita Osadebe is back at the Global Groove after a year
or so. The 12th album by his hand we post, the other 11
shall be made available again in some time. This one is
from 1991, one of his later but not lesser lp’s. His Nigerian
Sound Makers were still going strong, just listen and agree,
thirty minutes of sweetness, ..get it & spread it..tracks;

Good morning groovers around the globe, today you are
one of the luckiest downloaders imaginable. This lp is not
only one of his very best, it is from 1981 but in mint condition.
Kofi Samy and his Okukuseku International Band of Ghana
is here to make you dance and dance, it is sheer impossible
to remain seated while listening to the groovy beats and
sounds they produced on this album. Quite some Ghanaian
groups went to Nigeria to record their music but this is
one of my very favourites. Give it a chance and get it
while you can, groovalicious globadelic sweeets..I tried to keep this lp waiting for the new page to be
ready but I could not resist any longer. By now you
must think, will this page ever appear at all ?
I understand, my engineer is doing his
work on voluntary base and I can’t
force things, just hang on..
It will come..tracks;
1 Yebre ama owou
2 Awurade kasa
3 Empa aba
4 Maria
5 Wiase ne obra
6 Ode ama ne mmaPosted by Moosat 4:31 PMCategories

Posting juju music is something I’ve been doing right from
the start of this blog in 2008. It is the sound of juju that I
really love and promote, the message however is often one
I can not support. As soon as jesus titles appear my hair
stands up of annoyment, being heretic I must take distance
from any religious content. That being said we can now sit
down and listen to the funky twist in Admiral Dele Abiodun’s
juju, one I can appreciate a lot. So don’t be affraid and suck
in this slice of Nigerian sweetness from 1978, enjoy..tracks;
1 Awa o ni legba
– Adawa lofi agba han won
– Ajanaku koja eran a mupa leya
– Aba teni je
– Kekerenke

“With wealthy Nigerian backers, Sir” Shina Peters combined
juju with elements of Fela Kuti’s Afro-Beat style and the upfront
drum sounds of fuji music into a style he dubbed Afro-Juju.”
( Rough Guide )
This 1984 album on Makossa fascinates from beginning to end.
Sir Shina Peter’s afro-juju is full of surprising turns and sounds,
We had a ‘Sir Shina Adewale’ album in december 2008, here’s
the link to that album as well.
“Segun Adewale started out as a backup singer, with Shina
Peters, in the band of Prince Adekunle , a contemporary of
I.K. Dairo’s, before splitting off to form their own group
which they called, with no trace of irony,
Shina Adewale.” ( Rough Guide )tracks;
1 Ko temi fun mi
– Omo ilewe ( student )
2 Olojo nkajo ( maturity )
– Dapo tejuosho familyPosted by Moosat 3:29 PMCategories

Somewhere during last week I received a request for more
Kollington Ayinla or fuji in general. Do you know these guys

find nothing and if you google Fuji Londoners you get to
Sikiru Ayinde Barrister or the Royal Talazo Fuji Londoners.
One way or the other, this an lp by Micky Adisa
& his Original Fuji Londoners,

- Tuesday December 10, 201312 comments on Canadoes Super Stars of Ghana
led by Big Boy Dansoh
Fine Woman, Rogers All Stars 1981Today’s contribution starts out a bit crackly but the noise
doesn’t bother much. Canadoes appear on RAS
from Nigeria, it is one of those Ghanaian highlife groups
that went there to get their stuff to sound different.
Two things, always nice to have a little puzzling to do,
label says it’s from 1981 and backsleeve says from 1982.
And then, front cover states it should be LIVE, but
it absolutely does not give me that impression,
what do you think ..?tracks;
1 Enowaa ko hene
– Ayikoo dum
– Konsuo nanaa
2 Fine woman
3 Me nyame braPosted by Moosat 2:21 PMCategories
