It was puzzeling me for some time now but after some
web search I finally found out what was already expected.
Francisco “Pachito” Rada Ortiz is the son of Francisco “Pacho”
Rada. It looked obvious but until now nobody could confirm.
Pachito’s album we have today is called ‘El Millionario’ while
we just saw the documentary in which became painfully clear
how poor his dad was. Rich or poor, it is all about the music.
Junior’s vocal quality reaches a little further than the old man’s.
Listen to el Millionario and be your own judge..tracks;
01 – El millionario
02 – El caballo liberal
03 – El Oligarca
04 – El deseo de la mujer
05 – El festival
06 – Hombre enamorado
07 – Errante palomita
08 – Traje corto
09 – Cuando te vas muy lejos
10 – La vida es un ruleta
11 – Culpa a tus padres
12 – La filosofiaPosted by Moosat 10:53 AMCategories

by an artist we can’t get enough of. Until I found this lp

record now. It is a real gem, better don’t miss..tracks;

02 – Bea
03 – Nadefa nani
04 – Mama djele
05 – Bakomela pema

El Acordeon del Diablo.
A couple of years ago I discovered this little film at Youtube.
The story of Francisco ‘Pacho’ Rada made an unforgettable
impression and ever since I’ve been trying to find his music.
Shortly my buddy Sanjay came back from Colombia and
brought back this album which pleased me enormously.
The story starts with this rumour, a German ship full of
acordeons was told to be wrecked at the Colombian coast.
It is said that this is how the acordeon landed up at the
atlantic coast of Colombia where earlier they had only
made music using strings, rhythm and flute or gaita.
I was struck by the passage in which the old Pacho Rada
tells about his poverty despite all the songs he wrote.
Songs that made guys like Alfredo Gutierrez very rich,
Alfredo’s face speaks for itself when listening to the
poor old man. Hope you can follow a little Spanish,
enjoy watching and listening..to Francisco el hombre.
By the way, it is still unclear to me if there’s a link
between the old Pacho Rada and Pachito Rada Ortiz.
Check https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_el_Hombre
There is a lot of discussion going on about the true story,
one believes it, the other doesn’t, see for yourself..Francisco „Pacho“ Rada Bautista * 11 Mai 1907 in
Las Mulas Magdalena , † 17 July 2003 in Santa Marta.
He was told to be the originator of
the ‘Vallenato’ we know today..tracks;

Good evening, from Nigeria we’ve got us a highlife record
by one of our latest discoveries here at the Global Groove.
Waziri Oshomah was pointed out to me by a French vinyl
salesman at the fair. I must say, this is great music, talking
drums and vocal harmonies fight over first attention.
Crazy keys and trembling string arrangements,
a must hear to my humble opinion.
The tiny bit of extra noise
is free of charge..tracks;
01 – Omoime chief dr. r. dokpesi
02 – Ogbene – niregbaku otinye
03 – Akpemhi oghena ( chief aduphus sedenu )
04 – Ayughe dr. f.e.a. ozekhomePosted by Moosat 11:57 PMCategories

Ceferino Nieto comes in at the GG in various styles. When
salsa still meant being sauce with different ingredients, this
album contains cumbia, tamborera, pasillo instrumental,
paseo, tango congo and porro. It is the first lp by his hand
at this page, vocals by Ceferino Nieto, Esthercita Nieto,
Pedro Acevedo and Jorge Cedeño. Year of release 1974.
Most difficult to find Panama stuff, better grab it now..tracks;
01 – Ceferino en salsa
02 – Cubano, te presto mi tamborito
03 – Cada loco con su tema
04 – Violencia
05 – Los astronautas en la luna
06 – Brisas mesanas

If it comes to Ghanaian highlife, the GG has brought quite
some over the years. I am certainly no expert on the matter
but I can tell you this. Kyeremateng Atwede is the singer
that made the biggest impression on me. ( in fact it is Baffour
Kyei ) I just love the colour of his clear voice, it has
this nasal touch not many have. Check out this record.
I don’t know What the songs deal about, cover with skull ?
If you could tell us, that’d be nice. Quite sure it used to
be here already but can’t seem to find it anymore.tracks;
01 – Eno benewa
02 – Wo ye kwa
03 – Every work na work
04 – Okwantuni
05 – Yellow womanI replaced the old link for a new one.
Much better sound quality, go switch’m now.

3 Ma i ni wula
4 Jigi yiriPosted by Moosat 9:02 AM - Friday November 20, 2015
Good evening, Bezerra da Silva is back. He had some hot
samba albums here before and this one offers more of
that stuff. His samba belongs to the very best to my
opinion. This 1982 record contains some very funny
tracks. We finally find ‘Viúva de Seis’ for instance,
a song I used to play a lot and you may have found
it on a collector already. If you are into samba, do
not hesitate and get it straight away, enjoy..tracks;
01 – Brasa por cima de brasa
02 – Garoa
03 – Viúva de seis
04 – O vacilão
05 – Cabeça pra vovó
06 – Coreto
07 – Colina maldita
08 – Liberdade
09 – A necessidade
10 – Inferno colorido
11 – Vontade de sorrir
12 – CrocodiloPosted by Moosat 11:24 PM - Tuesday November 17, 2015
Coumbite Créole was Rodrigue Millien’s group. On this
album he is joined by his buddy Jules Similien or Toto.
It seems the latter got his name through the title-song
of this here lp if I’m not mistaking. Very laidback and
easy going record from 1974. It builds up to a little up-
tempo towards the end. Listen and enjoy Coumbite
Créole, Rodrigue et Toto in ‘Nécessité’ ..tracks;
01 – Nécessité
02 – Fête ménage mrin
03 – Dassoman
04 – Zoclo
05 – Pa fém’ca
06 – Haiti
07 – Tchoul supportant
08 – Mariage ratéPosted by Moosat 11:34 PMCategories
