Hello, what do you think about compas ? Isn’t it
just marvelous music ? Discovering more and more about
it. Some years ago I met with Rémi Joigneau from France,
he is one of the guys who put together the album; ‘Haïti
Goes Latin’. I added a small pic of the lp. The last track of
the record posted today is on it for instance, they used
vinyl copies like this one to make the album. Thanks
a lot for helping us out with all these killer compas
records Rémi, the world is enjoying them now
and in the future.Let’s see, we’ve got us another classic album
by Tuco et les frères Dejean. It is the second
of their hand here at the GG.
The superb musicians are;

bass guitar – Jose Fortune

Good morning folks, today it is high time for highlife.
I really wanted to be posting more music from Ghana
if only the quality of the records was a little better.
The cleanest of my albums have already been brought
so now is the turn to some lesser looking or sounding
ones. Let’s see, the lp we’ve got here has a damaged
sleeve but the sound is reasonably fair, some scratches
are inevitable. Kumapim Royals Band makes up for
that shortage in a fine way fortunately. Their music
is lovely and I’m sure you’ll like..
So far we had 4 of their lp’s,
use our search-bar
to find them.tracks;
01 – Obiara mfa nadwene mmra
– Ewiase pt. 1
– Ewiase pt. 2
– Ewiase pt. 3
02 – Mebroni
03 – Bonsam nsa begyene

This album contains 10 songs with African Fiesta from
1962 and 1963. The internet states the group only started
in 1963. We find songs by Depuissant, Dechaud, Izedi, Mujos
and Rochereau. No Dr. Nico songs although he should be the
one on lead guitar. One way or the other, another missing
link in the ‘african 360.000’ series, it’s number 163.
Enjoy listening..tracks;
01 – Ngonga ebeti (Depuissant)
02 – Natuna nani (Dechaud)
03 – Mobembo eleki tata (Izedi)

Good morning groovers, let’s get us some salsa this friday.
A good way to start the weekend. This is Bush, Francisco
Buckley is his real name and he was born in Panama 1940.
Love for music is a thing that runned in the family, he had
several uncles playing saxophone and piano, his mother
used to dance. When he grew up starting a group of his
own seemed a logical step. The album we’ve got today
was released on the Colombian Discos Fuentes in 1977.
Hope you like, get it & spread it..tracks;
01 – La chola caderona
02 – Secate las lagrimas

I received requests for more cumbias with acordeon, let’s see..
In 1995 Discos Fuentes took a dive in their vaults and came out
with this collection of cumbias. They did a good job polishing
the sound of the old songs, they are as good as new again and
sound as if they were recorded only yesterday. 16 very strong
numbers of which I’m sure you’re gonna play them very much.
Do not miss, get and spread straight away..tracks;
