Hello good morning, we are lucky to find a sunny day this
morning, spring is about to begin in the Netherlands and
that’s always a very nice time of year. The magnolia in my
frontgarden is almost bursting open, something we wait for
all year. Sunny weather asks for sunny music, let’s see..This is the first appearance of Lito Barrientos at this page
and it contains some fine tunes. It brings songs in various
styles like cumbia, bomba, charanga, corrido and porro.
A typical slice of tropical Colombian sweetness, complete
with ‘mosaíco’, a range of songs melted together at the
end of the album. Get it now and listen yourself..tracks;
01 – Caracol
02 – Ya voy toño
03 – Cumbia que te vas de ronda
04 – Rubiela
05 – Cumbia en do menor
06 – Charanga pa gozar
07 – Cumbia costeña

I always loved his powerful voice, especially the last song
of this album is a straight killer. Ever since I heard it early
eighties I kept playing it. Still love it today so bringing this
‘Best of’ was a matter of time only. ‘Dancehall worries’ was
also released in a diffrent version and under a different name.
It was called ‘War is in the dance’ on Greensleeves’ album,
“Pass the Tu-sheng-peng”. I have added it as a bonustrack
so you can compair them yourself, enjoy..tracks;
01 – Girl you are a crazy lover
02 – I want to know
03 – Give me play
04 – No roof
05 – Addis ababa
06 – Far and wide
07 – Forward home
08 – Dance hall worriesbonus:

I got lucky last week when visiting our capital, went there with
my son to see the late Rembrandt exposition in the new and
improved Rijksmuseum. It was astonishing to see all them
famous paintings we all know. Very inspiring experience..When returning from the museum we passed by one of the
second hand record stores I use to frequent and found this
album among a few others. Les Shleu Shleu have been here
before on a few occasions, search for them the regular way.
Happy summer compas, just in time before spring starts off.
Don’t you love that cover with the kids dancing on vinyl..?
Hope you like’m, get & spread as usual..tracks;
01 – L’angelus
02 – Viva SS
03 – Tribulation
04 – Appuye
05 – Reflechis
06 – NanounePosted by Moosat 9:55 AM - Sunday March 22, 2015
It’s sleeve is quite worn out, I took the liberty to repair the
name which was almost gone on the frontside. Lovely lp
by the Shining Star, Akwasi Ampofo Adjei, or Mr. AAA
and his Kumapim Royals International Band. I like the
sound very much but already know it’s a good thing not
to understand the lyrics on this one. You know why.
The record itself fortunately doesn’t have to many
scratches and plays reasonably well. I’m happy to
bring you another of their albums, we had three
of them so far, go find them using our
search-bar and have fun playing..tracks;
01 – Anomaa antua
02 – Gyama wosuro
03 – Time changesPosted by Moosat 9:50 AM - Saturday March 21, 2015
Sometimes the vinyl is so thin, the album we have here for
instance, one can almost fold it double. Off course the first
thing that suffers from it is the sound quality of the record.
Early seventies we had that oilcrisis which caused prices
of vinyl to go up as well. The quality of the music itself is
a different matter, Alejandro Duran and Luis Enrique
Martinez share this lp, each six tracks. Part from
the sound quality it is a fine record, twelve
songs by two great artists..tracks;
01 – Alejandro Duran – Pedazo de acordeon
02 – Alejandro Duran – Cero treinta y nueve
03 – Alejandro Duran – Cachucha bacana
04 – Alejandro Duran – Sielba maria
05 – Alejandro Duran – El perro
06 – Alejandro Duran – El leñazo
07 – Luis Enrique Martinez – La villa del rosario
08 – Luis Enrique Martinez – La dejo el tren
09 – Luis Enrique Martinez – La carta
10 – Luis Enrique Martinez – Alcirita
11 – Luis Enrique Martinez – Hombre modelo
12 – Luis Enrique Martinez – Que triste me dejasPosted by Moosat 9:46 AMCategories

It’s a re-release from 1990 on Discos Fuentes, originally
released in 1965. It was one of the first contributions to
Colombia’s salsa movement. The small pic shows the
original cover of the album. Pachangas and charangas
con los Cocacolos, give’m a spin and a push..tracks;

If you ask me to choose between songs and instrumentals, I am
clearly in favour of songs. This record however contains some wild
instrumental parts I really like. I can’t tell you much about Pepe
Moreno, his salsa is hot and Colombian, the lp is on Delujo in
corporation with Discos Fuentes and from 1976. Real name,
Pepe Romero. I’d say, listen to it yourself
and see what you feel about it..tracks;
