If you ask me to choose between songs and instrumentals, I am
clearly in favour of songs. This record however contains some wild
instrumental parts I really like. I can’t tell you much about Pepe
Moreno, his salsa is hot and Colombian, the lp is on Delujo in
corporation with Discos Fuentes and from 1976. Real name,
Pepe Romero. I’d say, listen to it yourself
and see what you feel about it..tracks;

04 – Me voy pa’l peru
05 – Morcilla

It must have been in 2007 or so, the first time I heard
this album was when I downloaded it from the great
Zecalouro at Loronix. I was sold straight away and
went looking for her music. As you may find there
are a few other records here at the GG. Aracy de
Almeida was the favourite interpreter of Noël Rosa’s
work of which two songs, first and last. She had a
voice one recognizes from 1000’s. The samba on this
lp is quite jazzy but I love it, it rocks
and I’m sure you’ll feel the same..tracks;
01 – Triste cuíca
02 – Cansado de sambar
03 – É mentira, oi
04 – Sabotagem no morro
05 – Batucada surgiu
06 – Mangueira
07 – Tem pena de mim
08 – Ora, ora
09 – Eu não sou manivela
10 – Trés apitosPosted by Moosat 9:17 AM - Tuesday March 10, 2015
Calixto Ochoa and Lisandro Meza are two of my favourite
Colombian artists, on this 1969 record on Discos Fuentes

Leyenda Vallenata. Marvelous songs from one to twelve.
You’re in charge but I warned you, it’s spicey material..tracks;
01 – Calixto Ochoa – Rosarito
02 – Calixto Ochoa – Perdonemne padre
03 – Calixto Ochoa – La llanerita
04 – Calixto Ochoa – El mundo
05 – Calixto Ochoa – Alba cecilia
06 – Calixto Ochoa – El conquistador

09 – Lisandro Meza – Me mata mi maye
10 – Lisandro Meza – Cariñito de papel

Changüí is a kind of salsa invented by the great Elio Reve.
We hear him on this 1987 album which was taken from Cuba
by my good friend René, thanks again buddy. Elio Reve and
his Orquesta Reve were the only group that played in this
typical style, that is as far as I’m aware of. If you know any
other group that plays changüí, please let us know. Mean
time let’s listen and enjoy this album and the ones we
posted in the past (3), have fun doing so..tracks;
