Music Club Présente Dino Vangu. Track 4 on the last Mbilia Bel was from
his hand, this is an album by himself. Unfortunately, backsleeve does
not give any information on personnel. I bet David of Ambiance Congo
can tell us more, he’s been writing about the subject here.
In the mean time let’s listen to this nice album.tracks;

To make good digital copy’s of my LP’s I use a Sony Compact Disc Recorder,
RCD-W100. It needs special CDR-Pro Audio recordables and yesterday I was
supposed to go to the store to collect my order of them. Because I forgot
to do so, I am out of material today and could not make a normal post.
A good opportunity to catch up with the Global Samplers. This one covers
the month of june, it’s an excerpt of the albums posted in the 6th month.
I used to take tracks of every album posted but nowadays I just make a
selection. I hope it helps you to find your way across this page.tracks;

It has been a long time since I posted work of Mbilia Bel.
To make up, this is the first album Mbilia made with Tabu Ley’s
Orchestre l’Afrisa International. Their working together made
them very popular and Mbilia Bel’s stage performance was enormously
strong. In no time this was the most wanted gig in Zaïre.
Enjoy this superb LP.tracks;
1 Eswi yo wapi
2 Lisanga bambanda
3 Kelhia

Today I was in the mood for samba all day, playing lots of old
records I could not avoid posting samba tonight. This is a collector
of famous songs by ‘Os Bambas’ with the great Zuzuca’s lead vocals
on 4 out of 12 tracks. 4, 6, 9 and 12. Especially track #4 is one of
my all time favourite samba songs, ‘Quando eu me Chamar Saudade’
of the hand of Nelson Cavaquinho, Brazillian Blues. Se diverte.tracks;

In the continuing story of King Sunny Adé, we find this album
from 1987. King Sunny wears diamond leather and a golden watch
and sings about jealousy but the music’s still sweet and that’s what
it’s all about, talking drums and Hawaï guitars. Count me in.tracks;
1 Sokoyokoto
– Honey baby
– Pegan pegan
– Jealousy
– Ere ayo

Sonolux from Medellin Colombia released this collector in 1982.
It contains some Colombian highlites from the 70’s and early 80’s.
The cover makes you expect a quite commercial album and it does have
one or two of those tracks. On the other hand we find a few great
songs. Anibal Velasques always makes a difference and Alfredo Linares’
Tiahuanaco swings fantastic, but my favourite is absolutely track #3,
by Los Montuneros.tracks;
1 Los Tremendos de Colombia – Ese amor
2 Darigil y su Combo – Cumbia Calentana
3 Los Montuneros – Francisco del otro lado
4 Los Alegres de San Basilio – La espina
5 Don Medardo y sus Players – La ladrona
6 Grupo Chambacu – Alhucema con Romero
7 Grupo Escala – Porque eme sigues
8 Anibal Velasques – Un poquito de cariño
9 Alfredo Linares – Tiahuanaco
10 Tamara – La limosnaPosted by Moosat 8:35 PMCategories

In 1974, african released this here LP. It contains songs from several
years before, 1964, 1966, 1971 and 1974. Pascal Tabu Ley Rochereau
delivers as always, another great Congolese album. The past week has
been quite hectic, no time left for fun things like posting music.
Don’t worrie though, there’s still plenty to come.tracks;
1 Mimi Ley
2 Maria Chantal
3 Palmares
4 Sata
5 Makfe
6 Silikani
7 Garba
8 Oya Sela
9 Omanga
10 MundiPosted by Moosat 10:38 AMCategories
