however sounds just fine. Give it a go.tracks;

I have read the most funny story, recorded in Kinshasa in 1973,
the song ‘A.Z.DA’ was released without much notice in Zaire. After
some time it spread across Africa and Europe. Most people thought
it was a love song but in fact it was an advertisement. A.Z.DA was
the name of a Volkswagendealer with outlets in some 6 Zairian cities.
The song goes; Vay-way Vay-Way Vay-Way, and bought all 24 members of
the band a brandnew Volkswagen.tracks;
1 A.Z.DA No. 1 & 2
2 Assitu 1 & 2
3 Minuit eleki lezi 1 & 2

My first contact with Lautari was when I bought the CD
‘Suburban Bucharest’. It contains a mixture of old and new
Romanian music. Through that CD I got to know artists like
Romica Puceanu, of which I found this LP last year.
From one artist you come to the next, and that’s how
I discovered Maria Tanase.
It can’t be a coincident that I found part 2 of Maria Tanase’s
CD releases recently, and last week this LP.
Some listener asked for a little pause between all that dancing
music, well this is an album to sit down with and listen.
I hope you can appreciate this rare piece of Lautari.tracks;

When I find another Oliver de Coque I always get exited, if
it’s his exentric way of dressing, the covers are always great.
Or the uncomplicated highlife, interlarded with Congolese style
guitars, it thrills me playing this stuff time after time.
Listen to this gentleman, listen to Oliver de Coque !tracks;

When I was running through the records in that Paris
recordstore, I found this jewel by Raphy Leavitt. Listening
to it, another customer wanted it too. Shame, but hey, I gave
him this URL and promised to post it this week. So here it is.
It’s got that great salsa brava sound of the early seventies.
An LP that makes the hair stand up on your arms.In the meantime our new year at the Global Groove is starting.
I would love to give you all a big piece of birthday cake, but

Part from some tracks on compilations, I do not use to post any
material from CD. This one by Guillermo Buitrago is an absolute
exeption. If I would not use it, it was impossible to post any
Buitrago. His LP’s, as far as they exist at all, are not to find.
I repost this album for several reasons. It contains songs for
december and new year, well our new year at the Global Groove
starts tomorrow. Part from that, this music is so delightful, I
truely don’t understand it didn’t get any response. I am crazy
about these songs. When I discovered this compilation, I wept
tears of happiness. Maybe it’s just me being foolish, but give
this one another chance and I’m sure you will not regret.tracks;
