He used to be Chef d’Orchestre of l’Afrisa International with the
great Tabu Ley, Rochereau. This is his first solo project of which
we don’t know the year of release. Brought by Appolo Music from
Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. I think Philo Kola is from Congo, correct me
if I’m wrong though. A solid listen to my humble opinion..

elpee waarvan het jaar van uitgave niet bekend is. Op het Appolo

zelf uit Congo maar corrigeer me s.v.p. als ik er naast zit. Een plaat
zeer de moeite van het beluisteren naar mijn bescheiden mening..

Drie albums in de Innovation serie hadden we reeds, vandaag
nummer vier. Het is volume 3 met Assaka Baba Ley en Bopol
Mansiamina. Twee van de songs zijn geschreven door Kiland L.M.
waarvan ééntje met Bopol samen. Mooi gedoseerde Congolese
rumba/soukous. Op het Innovation label uit 1981..

Three of the albums in the Innovation series were here on earlier
occasions, today we have number four. It concerns volume 3 with
Assaka Baba Ley and Bopol Mansiamina. two of the songs were

I tell you straight away, it has some background noise so if you’re
allergic to it, better leave this one alone. For everybody else, the
music is very nice. Just imagine you’re listening to it by the fire side.
This one is for you Nick, and thanks for the other one. This is an album
I can’t seem to find anything about, not googlable so to speak. It is
worth at least a couple of spins to my opinion though, listen..

Ik zeg het maar meteen, deze plaat kraakt wel een beetje dus als je
daar allergisch voor bent zou ik hem niet downloaden. Voor iedereen
die daar niet mee zit, de muziek is erg aangenaam. Doe gewoon net of
je er naar luistert bij de open haard. Deze is voor jou Nick en bedankt
nog voor die andere. Over deze elpee kan ik online niets vinden, hij is
zogezegd niet googlebaar. Ik denk dat hij het beluisteren waard is..

by Les Etablissements Bitho. No record company, label or year of
release. It is a volume 2. With Julien Cladia, Ya Lélé, Djunilt, Longas
Cheridan and Barreto. Also on solo guitar the great Aladji Baba who
used to play with Orchestre Vox Africa. Get it & Spread it..

In onze top twintig van meest gedownloade albums mag Colombia
dan de winnaar zijn, de meeste reacties komen nog altijd op muziek
uit Congo. Veel bezoekers hadden Congo hoger in de utslagen gehoopt
of verwacht. Vandaag weer eens een elpee in dat genre. In de categorie
Congo vinden we veel platen van zangers, bands maar eigenlijk nauwelijks
vrouwelijke artiesten. Ongetwijfeld zijn er naast Mbilia Bel nog wel andere
dames die mooie platen hebben gemaakt. We hebben Franco met Nana en
Baniel, die is mooi. Van Abeti en M’Pongo Love zijn er vast mooie platen
maar ik moet ze nog ontdekken. Onder de bezielende leiding van Tabu Ley
maakte Mbilia Bel een reeks pracht platen, waaronder deze ‘Beyanga’ uit
1987. Op het Genidia label en met Orchestre Afrisa..

In our top twenty of most downloaded albums Colombia may be the one
best represented, however the music from Congo is still the category that
gets the most reactions. Many visitors had hoped or expected Congo to end
up higher in the list so today another record from Congo. If we look in this
category we find lots of band and singers but hardly any female artists. No
doubt there are a lot of great female singers from Congo but part from
Mbilia Bel, Nana and Baniel who performed with Franco, we have not got
much. Abeti and M’Pongo Love must have made good albums But I am
yet to discover them. Under the inspirational guidance of Tabu Ley, Mbilia
Bel made a bunch of great records of which this 1987 ‘Beyanga’.

Tot nu toe was elke plaat van Orchestre Stukas en Lita Bembo
in de roos. Veel van onze bezoekers gaan hier volledig door uit
de plaat. ..En terecht, de unieke sound van Lita Bembo maakt
je los uit je luie stoel en stuurt je de hele kamer door. Track #3,
La Samba was hier reeds eerder, laat je nu maar gaan..

Until now every record by Orchestre Stukas and Lita Bembo
has been a top score. Many of our visitors go completely mad
listening to them. ..And quite rightly, the unique sound of Lita
Bembo makes you rise from your chair and sends you around
the room. Track #3, La Samba has passed by
before, now let go..
