I love this record. The band gets the audiance in the right
atmosphere from the first minutes. The group is only still
being introduced when the crowd starts cheering already.
A live registration from 1971 for their 10th anniversary,
one can hear these guys were extremely popular,
with the late and great Aboubacar Demba
Camara. Rumba-Guinée is the word..,
how sweet it is.tracks;

It is almost six years ago I posted this lp by Ousmane
Diallo aka Ouza Diallo or Ouza. Delightful seventies Dakar sounds,
atmospheric stuff. It’s been quite a while we had us some Senegalese
music, better get it and realise I do not post this type of music enough.
Maybe if we find a bit more in the future, the next big recordfair is almost
arriving, another three and a half weeks and who knows what it shall
bring us this time. For now, listen to these beautiful songs
sung by these beautiful voices, I’m completely
captured, # 4 is my favourite..tracks;

Super Rail Band Orchestre du Buffet Hôtel de la Gare de Bamako – Disque de l’Année Mali Musique 1977
Wow, now I come to realise, it is almost a year and a half
since I posted us some music from Mali. This one by the
great Super Rail Band will surely make up for that long
hiatus. It is a bit worn out and some noise is inevitable.
..dusty tracks, still, I really love to listen to it, it has
great atmosphere, with Mory Kante from 1977.
Hope you enjoy, get it
& spread it..tracks;
1 Sinsimba
2 Balakononifing

If I am not mistaking, my French is not that good, Syliphone Records
made this compilation to please thousands of happy Guinéean radio
listeners. The tracks on side-a of this lp, 1 till 5, have all been tophits
at the various national radiostations in 1970. Tracks 6 and 7 are extra’s
making a compliment to the young instrumentalists that play authentic
melodies and rhythms in modern interpretations. I am sorry track 6 has
some hiss in the background, you must realise it is over 40 yrs. old.
Nevertheless, happy listening to yall, get it before it’s gone..tracks;
1 Bembeya Jazz National – Waraba
2 Keletigui et ses Tambourinis – Tambourinis cocktail
3 Balla et ses Balladins – Kaira
4 Keletigui et ses Tambourinis – Nadia
5 Balla et ses Balladins – Moi je suis decourage

spins. I’m sure it will make your sunday.
Don’t forget, play and spread..tracks;
