From Nigeria we have here, King Sunny Adé and his African Beats,
this is Juju music, a laydback smooth type of African music with hummingtalkingdrums, steeley guitars and mellow voices. It’s incredible to hear
18 people play like ONE, beautiful. Ajoo was also released in a European
cut which is very different from this African release. One sidenote; The first
3 numbers are melted together as if they are one, it was very difficult to
cut it into 3 numbers, considering the fact I don’t understand a word they
sing here, I am SURE I cut them completely wrong, please forgive me.tracks;

I’d have to gamble on the year on this LP, I’d say 1969, if any one
knows.. If you listen to the hilarius song ‘Child training’ on the album,
‘All time Calypso from Trinidad and Tobago’, posted earlier this week,
you know what to expect here, Composer is a funny guy,tracks;

I first heard Aparecida on ‘Roda de Samba’, also from 1975,( see earlier this past week ) so when I found this record at that tiny
shack, back in Rua 7 de setembro, in Rio, it made me very happy.Produced by Durval Ferreira and with the participation of
Chicinho de Acordeon this is a very pure piece of samba.tracks;
